About

…me

Hello dear reader. I’m Tara Watson and I’m a budding author and currently studying RMIT’s Professional Writing and Editing degree.

I believe in the transformational power of storytelling. It’s the way a story can connect with the emotional core and take us on an adventure. All through a tale, a fable, an eyeopening epic story.

…this site

Tell you when I get there’ is a personal blog space that was initially sparked by a major upheaval that happened in my life. As a result of that event, I found I wanted to explore deeper into the meaning of life. It became a quest for personal change and I wanted to document it.

The title of this blog comes from the constant striving we all have in doing and getting that list of things-to-do done. We have this belief that ‘once this is done I can ….’ or ‘once I get this, I can …’. It’s this belief that once I get there, then life will be great, happy, fulfiling.

But, where is ‘there’? Really. It doesn’t exist. It is – as it’s been said – all about the journey and not the destination.

And so, through storytelling, I pick up my backpack and walk onto the path to see what life has in store. You are invited along on this journey with me.
